Relationship Help for Couples and Families
My name is Deborah Hill and I am an experienced Relate trained Relationship and Family Therapist, accredited by the British Association of Counselling & Psychotherapy
I have a Masters (Distinction) in Relationship Therapy and have studied Systemic and Psychodynamic theory and practice for 3 years.
This means that I am qualified to offer Couple Therapy and Family Therapy as well as offering therapy for individuals.
I have recently completed Couples Therapy for Depression a year long course which is run and managed by the Tavistock Centre in London. This is the NHS approved course for couples where one (or both) partner/s may be experiencing depression. You can find me listed on the Tavistock Relationships list of approved practitioners.
Good relationships are crucial to most people’s quality of life. They are sustaining and nurturing. When we fall out with those that we are close to we can feel many difficult emotions that prevent us feeling relaxed and happy. If you feel that you need help in your relationship please contact me.
What is a Relate trained therapist?
Relate are the relationships experts. Historically known as marriage guidance counsellors, the organisation has been offering individual, couple and family therapy for people of all backgrounds, ethnicities and sexual identities for decades.
A Relate trained therapist is someone who has been trained by Relate experts as an Integrative Relationship Therapist and undergone rigorous assessment in the field of Systemic and Psychodynamic theory and practice. The whole focus of the study is on the relationship.
There are Relate Centres throughout the UK. The nearest Relate Centres to Sheffield are located in Chesterfield and Barnsley.
For couple counselling in central Sheffield, there is no actual Relate Centre, however, there are Relate trained therapists.
I offer Couples therapy, (also known as Couples counselling),family therapy and , therapy for individuals in central Sheffield, South Yorkshire.
My office is based on Campo Lane, just behind the cathedral.
